The entire effort of SignKraft is towards the cause of improving social and economic inclusion of the deaf community. In the process, we worked closely with KDN Shruti School for Hearing Impaired to better understand the challenges faced by the community and explore how technology could make a difference. We conducted Sign Language workshops to sensitize people about the benefits of learning and using sign language. We also conducted several technology demonstrations and training workshops for students from low-income families studying in Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir, Dharavi (Asia’s largest urban slum) and Signal Shaala (school for the street children in Mumbai). Our endevour has been to spread the message that:
